2018-19 Founders Academy Annual Fund Drive

Greetings!
The school year is moving right along into the month of December. During this month known for gift giving, Founders would like to introduce you to this year's Annual Fund.
Purpose: The Founders Academy is centered around its mission of character building, U.S. History, leadership, and liberty. Above our main entryway are the words, "Through the doors walk the leaders of the future. . . the guardians of our liberty." As a free public charter school for grades 6-12 located in Manchester, we rely heavily on generous donations.
The Annual Fund was established to help close the gap between the school’s operational costs (i.e., academic supplies, utility costs, lease, etc.) and those funds paid by the state for each student. Charter schools are funded at $7,047.06 per child, or 47% of the average, when compared to local public schools. However, the average cost to educate a child in New Hampshire is $15,033. As a result, Founders depends on parent support and donations to meet its annual expenses including salaries, roof repair, employee health insurance, janitorial expenses and other operational costs.
Events: This year, the Founders' Annual Fund consists of two Calendar Raffles (November and April), The Founders Academy President’s Club (which is a pledge form attached outlining commitment levels), and a John Stark Day Breakfast on April 8, 2019.
Matching Funds: Many employers offer a matching contribution for employee donations made to non-profits. In many instances this will double the donation made by the family. For more information on this opportunity, please contact Christine Nassiopoulos ( [email protected]).
Founders’ Family Participation: Each year, we welcome more and more new families to our community. The progress the school has made in 5 years is astounding and, we look forward to our first graduation in June! As a public charter school, it is important that the Annual Fund receive support by 100% of its families in this celebratory year. We ask everyone to donate what you can to the school as no gift is too small or too large.
Donating: Donations may be made monthly or one time in any amount and manner that works best for your family. Checks can be made to "The Founders Academy" or payments can be made online at this link.
