This year’s Student Leader of the Year Award went to Jackie Jimenez! Here is what the Dean said when presenting her the award at our End of Year Convocation to Jackie Jimenez:
“Before my closing remarks of the the annual award which was introduced last year called the 'Student Leader of the Year Award.' Each year the Dean of School will choose a student who exercises leadership qualities including positivity, reliability, taking on lots of responsibility, using excellent judgment, and thinking of others. In essence, this person 'steps up' to assist where needed. This year's award recipient was:
• Elected by her peers to be the President of the Student Senate.
• Served on the Student Activities Committee
• Led the newly created Student Discipline Committee
• Showed compassion toward those in need
• Active in the Economics and Ethics Committee and an enhancer of in-class debate.
The second annual Student Leader of the Year Award goes to . . Jackie Jimenez.”
