At The Founders Academy
Please note:
All students welcome -- students do not need to be attendees of The Founders Academy to attend Summer Camp 2021.
Overview:
The Founders Academy summer camp program offers one-week, half-day sessions in July. Campers can select from a diverse selection of choices that will both stimulate the mind and encourage creativity. We welcome all to take part in our Summer Camp program!
Week 1:
July 12 - July 16, 2021
Week 2:
July 19 - July 23, 2021
AM Session:
9:00am - 11:30am
PM Session:
12:00pm - 2:30pm
Cost:
$75 per half-day session

Payment:
50% due upon registration; balance due one week before camp begins via check or PayPal. An email will be sent once the registration form is completed with total amount due and payment information.

Age Group:
Some programs have age group limitations while others are open to most age groups. It is recommended parents use their discretion when selecting a program based upon their child's ability.

2021 Summer Camp Programs
Title:
Summer Entrepreneurship - "Making money while doing what you love to do!"

Description:
This session is to help students explore what they can create for themselves that will get them going down the path of entrepreneurship. We cover many of the jobs that teens can have during the summer months, explore their many likes, and review 35 jobs that a teen can start as their own boss with no money invested.
Campers will build their business plan, learn about marketing, tracking business expenses, and get a quick introduction to the wonderful world of income taxes. Parents will have an opportunity to ask their camper, "Didn't you start your own business this summer?" the next time the topic of allowance or $20 for a movie night with friends is brought up.

Description:
In this summer camp, students will learn the basics of roller skating as well as basic skate maintenance and different roller skating gear. We will cover skating forwards, skating backwards, stopping, forward crossovers, backwards crossovers, transitions from forwards to backwards, transitions from backward to forwards, hopping, agility, and spinning. Students will learn to take apart and clean their skates and learn how skates work. They will also learn about a variety of skating gear and learn about the pros and cons of each piece.
Students will need to provide their own quad skates and protective gear (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards). Students should bring bottled water or sports drink to camp each day. Inline skates are acceptable but not all direct instruction will be applicable to inline skates. Please contact Ms. Minor (

Description:
Open to all incoming and current 6th grade students who will be attending Founders in the fall of 2021. Current 6th grade students are welcome to participate and be student ambassadors!
Students will have a blast with summer fun activities while learning the ins and outs of Founders as we get ready to kick off the next school year! Some activities include: building tours, ice breaker games, student schedule & code of conduct overviews, building scavenger hunts, water balloon games, basketball, soccer, obstacle courses, capture the flag, chalk fun, and other games.
We will end each camp day with popsicles!
Recommended to bring lots of water, sunscreen and possibly a hat as we will spend as much time as we can outdoors having fun at The Founders Academy!

Community Building Fantasy Game Club

This camp is welcome to all of those interested in playing/learning trading card games such as Pokémon and Magic the Gathering, playing team strategy board games and fantasy games and making new friends who have common interests.
Each day throughout the week there will be an option of a different game to learn and play.
