Students of the Third Quarter
Posted on 04/13/2020
Sophia H. and Theo S. are the Students of the Third Quarter! The Student of the Quarter is a highly regarded recognition for upholding the
Leadership Code of Conduct
. Nominations for the Student of the Quarter are reviewed and decided on by the Department Chairmen. See below for their nominations, submitted by their fellow students and staff.
Congratulations Sophia and Theo!
High School Student of the Quarter:
Sophia H.
- Sophia always takes care to remind us when class is starting or when there is a change in the schedule. She also makes sure everyone is learning in class and that everyone gets their homework done on time. She has helped her friends transition into remote learning, even though it is a new concept.
- She has taken the role of a leader in our friend group and helped us getting into class on time and to work on our work. She is helping us, and creates zooms meeting for our friend group when we are not understanding the topics we see in class.
Middle School Student of the Third Quarter:
Theodore S. Jr.
-He has great grades, and is always following the leadership code of conduct
-He is always a nice friend who will support me. He shows his leadership by giving people tours of the building (not in remote learning mode). He is very smart, and he keeps up his good grades. He follows the student code of conduct to the fullest, and he is involved in many ways.
-I would like to nominate Theo Stevens for the Middle School Student of the Third Quarter. Theo is a Student Ambassador who goes above and beyond in helping wherever there is a need. He is always the first to volunteer as an usher for Admissions Open Houses, Back to School Nights, shadowing and transfer students. He is an active member of the Student House of Representatives and pays particular attention to the Leadership Code of Conduct. One day, he volunteered to "step up" by coming to school on a day-off to assist in organizing the library. He stayed the entire day helping his school. He regularly asks to assist in other tasks where needed. He is always friendly and pleasant greeting people in the hallways. Theo would be a shining example as the next Student of the Quarter.
